IDEXX Laboratories shares surged about 20% Monday after the veterinary diagnostics company topped third-quarter earnings and revenue estimates and raised its 2026 forecasts. The company reported third-quarter revenue of $1.21 billion, about 10% above the year-earlier period, driven by growth in its Companion Animal Group.

CNBC's midday movers desk flagged the print as one of the session's standout earnings reactions. Separate market tallies put quarterly sales at $1,214 million and described adjusted earnings of $3.96 per share, ahead of a consensus estimate of $3.73. Management also lifted full-year 2026 revenue guidance and raised the earnings outlook while lowering its operating-margin outlook.

The stock ranked among the largest percentage gainers on major U.S. exchanges on the day, with one tape snapshot near $663. Investors rewarded the combination of a clean beat, recurring diagnostics growth, and a higher guide — even with the softer margin commentary.

Monday's tape otherwise mixed earnings winners and losers: Tempus AI rose nearly 12% after its own third-quarter beat, while several smaller names that missed or guided softly sold off. IDEXX's move stood apart for both size and liquidity.

Near-term, watch whether follow-through holds as analysts refresh models on the new guide, and whether Companion Animal utilization trends stay firm into year-end. For a one-day tape read, this was a classic high-quality beat-and-raise re-rating in a defensive growth name.
