Trimble falls 17.31% after trimming its recurring revenue growth outlook
The company said third-quarter results beat its expectations, but a lower forecast for recurring revenue growth weighed on the stock.
Trimble (TRMB) shares closed down $11.36, or 17.31%, at $54.25 on Wednesday, compared with Tuesday's close of $65.61, after the company lowered its outlook for recurring revenue growth even though the company said third-quarter revenue and earnings surpassed its expectations. They had been down 15.56% at $55.40 as of 3:11 p.m. ET.

Revenue rose 7% from a year earlier to $966.8 million, and adjusted earnings were $0.86 a share, the company said. Annualized recurring revenue reached a record $2.56 billion, up 11%, or 10% on an organic basis.
The bigger issue for investors was the growth outlook. CNBC reported that Trimble now expects organic annualized recurring revenue growth of roughly 10% for 2026, down from its earlier call for 12% to 14%. FreightWaves reported that the cut came as the European freight market slowed.
For the full year, Trimble expects revenue of $3,910 million to $3,940 million and adjusted earnings of $3.63 to $3.69 a share. For the fourth quarter, it guided to revenue of $1,031 million to $1,061 million.
The company also bought back about 4.0 million shares for $231.7 million during the quarter.
